Being a Good Leader during a Pandemic takes work!!!

I realize that the Covid 19 Pandemic is hard on everyone. It is a real leadership challenge. One things is clear... how an organization or a company treats their employees during this time will have lasting impacts to the morale, climate and social brand of that organization as well as the leader. If you are a leader... - check on your people... they are not a commodity. They are the soul of your team. - keep people informed honestly... - make sure that everyone knows the mission, the strategic plan of how to cross the goal line together. - leaders... if your people are cold, tired, hungry and muddy... then you should be right beside them... serving shoulder to shoulder... - collaborate with people who actually do the job and get feedback... making isolated decisions from the big office brings isolated results... more than naught they become financially based decisions and not people and not people based strategies. - LBWA- i learned this from watching Bill Clinton circulate a room in the 90s. before he was president. “Leadership by Walking Around”... He was great at it... He called each person by their name and gave little nuggets of encouragement, wisdom or just gave a nod as they spoke... People joined his team because he showed that he cared...

I am writing this because i see some leaders failing... part of this is because they are losing sight of the old saying “Mission First... People Always”.
